SEA LION - WESTERN RED CEDAR DRIFTWOOD CARVING                                       The sea lion for many cultures of the Pacific Northwest represents abundance and wealth as it was hunted and used for food and its skin for clothing and fishing floats.

This specific carving was done on a spectacular piece of Western Red Cedar driftwood.  Anyone who has carved on cedar can atest to the high quality of this wood and how aromatic it is when it is cut into.

As of January 2014 the location of the Sea Lion is unkown, it was tracked for quite sometime by the West Seattle blog and by local residents.

Anyone who has the whereabouts of this beautiful carving, please let us know and send us pictures! We would love to hear from you.
